Okay, it's Thursday, which means I get to devote some or all of my posts to geekery. Yay! Right now, I'm watching the first episode of Ripper Street, and the American character sounds funnier to me than the Brits. I watch so much British television that their accents aren't noticeable all that much anymore.
I think it's kind of weird that that's what happens, but with all of the Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Sherlock I watch, it just happens. It's so crazy.
Mmmm... I want to move to the U.K. one day. That would be so, so great. I just really want to get out of the country... even out of the state. I've lived here for ten years and as I've grown up here, I've loved the sense of community, but now that I'm a teenager, I'm just ready to move on and get out of here.
Fun Fact: today's American accents were the original British accents. Yep! Isn't that cool? So we technically have British accents.
